Hello I'm Lakshmi
I write. I build. I interrupt.
A technologist turned author, founder, and feminist troublemaker.

For over two decades, I built digital products, led tech teams, and sat through far too many meetings where innovation meant rearranging the furniture. Somewhere between launching ERP systems and raising a child, I realized I wasn’t just designing software, I was quietly questioning the systems around it.

Systems that often left no room for emotion.
No margin for failure.
No space for people like us.
So I stepped out of the safety net. Left the predictability of a blue-chip job.

I worked in clean-tech before climate became a trend. And while nine months pregnant, I launched a last-mile delivery startup that challenged industry defaults, with my baby’s crib parked next to my office desk and investor decks balanced between nap times. I raised funds with a child on my lap. Hustled, broke, burned out, then rebuilt from the ashes.

And somewhere in that chaos, I started writing.
Because there were things I could no longer ignore.
Not in boardrooms. Not in classrooms. Not online.
The performative feminism.
The broken mental health playbooks.
The AI systems being built without women, empathy or memory.

My books and essays explore feminism, technology, and identity in a voice that’s part critique, part imagination. I’ve written everything from satire (Hashtags and Heroines) to speculative non-fiction (The Gender Glitch) to children’s eco-adventures (The Eco Squad).

Now, alongside writing, I’m building an AI-first healthtech platform. It’s a continuation of my life’s throughline: using technology not just to optimize systems, but to center humanity.

Also now, I build differently.
With tech, with truth, with teeth.
I Believe..
-
That “empowered women” shouldn’t be a campaign. It should be a given.
-
That tech built without ethics isn’t innovation. It’s a ticking time bomb.
-
That children are watching, even when we think they’re scrolling.
-
That we need fewer hashtags and more honest conversations.
